Small Talk Gets Accredited!

In October of 2014 Small Talk was approved for accreditation by the National Children's Alliance. This was a thorough process that had been a year in the making. It certainly took the collective effort of our board members, staff, and multidisciplinary team and we can't thank them enough for their hard work and dedication.

Small Talk Featured on Moms Everyday

Small Talk was featured on a segment on WILX called "Moms Everday." Board member and Detective for the Ingham County Sheriff's Office, Annie Harrison gives some great advice on how to talk to our kids when they disclose abuse and how to address abuse when you witness it in the community.

In December 2014, Small Talk moved into a new location. Previously our services operated out of two different locations (the Ingham County Prosecutors Office for counseling and St. Lawrence Hospital for forensic interviews). Being housed in one location allows us to be able to provide all these services together in a more child friendly and inviting environment for kids and families here in Ingham County.

Check out the follow up story that WILX did on our move and what positive impact that it will have on the families we serve in our community.

"Legends of the Knight" Event

On Wednesday April 15th, Small Talk hosted a screening of "Legends of the Knight", and inspiring documentary film about the positive power and influence of Batman. We had a great turn out and had a great time.
