Erin Lipsey, MBA
Board Member

Erin Lipsey is a master’s-educated business and finance leader with more than 15 years of experience in project management, enterprise risk, and organizational leadership. She currently serves as a Project Manager in Finance at Jackson, where she leads cross-functional teams through complex product launches and manages external exams, partnering closely with executives, auditors, and regulators to ensure transparency, compliance, and strong risk management.

Erin brings deep expertise in strategic planning, transformational change, and budget management, along with a track record of building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders. Prior to her current role, she led enterprise risk initiatives for Emergent Holdings, supporting a $15 billion portfolio and previously managed large operational teams at Jackson, overseeing key initiatives related to product development, advisor compensation, and client servicing.

A committed servant leader, Erin has dedicated much of her career to advancing mission-driven work in the community. She is the Past Board President of Girls on the Run Mid-Michigan, where she served for nine years. In that role, she provided strategic and fiscal leadership, guided two consecutive three-year strategic plans, strengthened governance and budget processes, and helped the organization navigate the operational and financial challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her nonprofit engagement also includes experience as a race director and coach for Girls on the Run as well as Grand Ledge Middle School Cross Country.

Erin has led and supported numerous fundraising efforts, including peer-to-peer campaigns, event fundraising for 5K races, and community outreach to secure business sponsorships for youth and community initiatives. She has also completed multiple trainings focused on board structure, assessment, recruitment, and diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.

Personally, Erin feels deeply connected to the mission of advocating for children and survivors of abuse. She believes in using her time, talent, and energy to help ensure that children’s experiences of trauma are one chapter of their story—not the whole story of who they are or who they can become.

Erin holds an MBA from the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and a B.S. in English from Central Michigan University. She lives in Grand Ledge, Michigan.
